Rough Sleepers

There are a range of risks experienced by people living on the streets that expose them to a higher level of vulnerability to harm and abuse.

It is important for collaboration in improving safeguarding of rough sleepers and the SABs should foster close working relationships with rough sleeping teams in order to coordinate efforts. SABs should apply insights from SARs, particularly where rough sleepers have died, to prevent future incidents and there should be an emphasis on safeguarding rough sleepers from abuse, neglect and self-neglect.
